Just want to check these temps are ok for my Yemens, it feels a little chilly to me..

Basking spot is 30.4c set to stay around 30c, overall air temp is around 23 - 25c dropping to 15 - 20 at night.

I have a red light for basking spot which stays on at night, they sleep far away from it and then go to bask under it in the morning as it is now..

Without the red light temp is going to be much lower, but I can hook it up to be linked with the uv strip to go off at night..

it seems ok, but just feels a little cold to me.. I would have thought they would like it hotter?

Babies do like it a bit cooler than adults i find, i would say when older take it up to 90f in the basking spot, i personally would remove the red lamp chameleons like total darknes to sleep, can u up the ambient temp of the whole room?

the room is my bedroom and its does have heating however its not possible to get it above 25c this time of year as we have no insulation or double glazing... (blame the landlord not me!!)

I will raise the red light temps a little once they have grown a bit..

as for needing total darkness it should be fine as it is, they cannot see the red light so its basically pitch black even with it on..

so you think the temps are fairly ok as it is? they certainly seem happy enough.. except when it comes to spraying water lol they hate it..
