I have raised the basking spot up now, and he's basking like mad...
Does anyone have any information on basking behaviour for Panther Chams? Mainly Nosy Be's.
Mine is tilting his head and body when basking (I'm guessing this is normal), but is still turning black when basking...
When he's hunting he's a lovely blue, and when he's not basking, he is also blue. But black when he basks.
I'm guessing the most reasonable explanation for this is to attract the heat, but all the time?
Also, he basks for around 20-30 mins (black), then runs around his viv like a nutter for 5 mins (blue), and then basks again (black)
Is this normal?
Thankyou!

Try getting some background heat in there. Constant basking means the ambient temperatures are to low. |

yea, looking to get a AHS box, but they're quite pricy, as are the oil fired rads...
Just going to turn the heating up untill then... (although that will prob be just as expensive in the long run!)
Can anyone advise of somewhere cheap to pick up a AHS?
I found a few, but they are all around £100...
thanks for the help eveyone... I'll put a vid of his curtain climbing antics on youtube when he's settled in |
