for those of you that remember...
one of my female laid eggs late nov (didnt know till she laid)
she only weigh around 1150g.
since laying her eggs (which were all slugs) she has been eating very well and is now weighing in at 1550g.
Do i breed her this year or do i wait till next? |

If she were mine I would give her this season off, in the long run it would be for the best. If you let her become worn out so young she will never be a really good breeder for you. A year passes very quickly, and you could try for an early season mating - say Oct / Nov later this year, so only a 9 / 10 month wait |

When you say "this season" do you mean right now? (season is oct 07 to Mar 0
Or this coming season Oct 08 to Mar 09?
If you are talking about now, I doubt very much she'll breed now matter how hard you try. So yeah as the others say I'd wait until the 08/09 season _________________

i agree with what scott has said, she wont produce i dont believe.although there was a guy called brendon over on rdr who hatched 2 clutch's of eggs from a female in the same 12 calendar months i would imagine she was carrying a lot more reserves than your's though _________________ www.jamieswordsreptiles.com |
