Hi all. Ive currently got a 18month old female amel corn snake and i want to get another snake. Id ideally want a larger bodied snake like a python or boa. But id want one that doesn't grow all that big (6ft max) and that is OK to live in a 3ft x 2ft x2ft Viv. Which would be the best snake to get?? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

have you thought about royal pythons? don't get that big usually around 4-5ft. they have got fairly girthy bodies also blood pythons (not sure exactly how big they get but iam sure there not giants) also if you've got enough money maybe a dwarf burmese or super dwarf reticulated python there are a couple of people on this forum that work with them might need a bigger viv then 3x2 though. there are quite a few different locality's of dwarf boa so it might be worth having a look on the Internet to see which one you like the look of. it might also be worth having a look on www.gazboas.co.uk, hes got crawl cays advertised on his site i also think hes a member of this forum so it might be worth getting in touch with him if your interested in dwarf boas. good luck with deciding what to get and remember to post pics when you get it hope this has helped you. Very Happy

Well i like royals and the dwarf boas etc but the gf don't. At the moments shes refusing to let me get and "big ugly snake" (her words!) shes OK with my 3 1/2 ft corn but doest like anything "fatter" ill have a look at the site you mentioned. I'm also taking her to look/handle some various sized pythons/boas to see if i can persuade her but its not looking good at the mo. Any other ideas for another snake is greatly appreciated. thanks for all the replies.

so what exactly are you lookng for then Confused

Take her along to hold a baby royal, she may be tricked into thinking thats as fat as they get Laughing
