I tried the pinkie mouse Jase, she was less than interested, but I'll persevere and maybe try her again.
Like your website by the way.
I know my Amel pair seem to come wandering out and about when I mist their enclosure, almost like they are enjoying the rain. Would it hurt if I make sure they have a nice deep humid hide and mist them twice a day? The Amel's are definately in love, I got the female out the other day to check her over and the male rushed over when I put her back in to make sure she was ok It was very sweet. _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

Thanks for your comments on the site, i havent updated it for a while, just been too busy.
I find with my groups when a female is ready to lay the others leave her to it in the damp hide so they definatly appreciate the daily spray so yes put in the hide and spray them if they like it. Have you had any eggs from them yet? _________________ www.Reptilebreeder.co.uk

What are the Mulga monitors like to keep incidentally, I was only reading a bit about them last night How about that for coincidence
No Eggs yet, but I have an inkling that my Female Amel may be expecting, I'm just not entirely sure what I'm looking for, but her back end certainly looks like she has a couple of slight bumps just in front of her rear legs when she's walking about. Do I need a lay box as well as a moist hide for her just in case, and vermiculite for incubation does it need to be 50/50 by weight, water to vermiculite.
Spraying certainly brings the pair of Amels out and about almost immediately. I'm just finishing off the moist hides as we speak, it's all been hampered by a nasty bout of the flu. _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

The Mulga's are a great monitor and very active, similar to Ackies but better climbers.
Your fat tail will lay her eggs in the humid hide you provide her, Fat tail eggs are more difficult to hatch out than say leopard gecko's so expect some failures, the way i know incubate fat tail eggs is to mix the water/vermiculite at about 0.8/1 then put a thin layer of dry vermiculite on top of this which the eggs are placed on.
Good luck _________________ www.Reptilebreeder.co.uk

Are the Mulgas good to handle? I assumed they would be like the ackies, but monitors aren't my strong point, thus I'm in the researching stage. Are you breeding from them at present?
I've checked her over and I think she's just podgy at the moment I'd heard about the fat tail eggs being harder to produce live young from. I'll let you know if we get any eggs _________________ www.draco2.co.uk
