Hi
I've planning on getting some gecko's soon and wondered if someone could tell me the main differences in terms or care required, between leopard and crested geckos?
I am often away for a couple of days so though leopard geckos would be ideal as they can safely be left for 2 days, but is the same true of crested geckos or do they require daily attention (misting etc?)
Thanks _________________ Cheers! |

when they are young daily misting is advised but when they get above about 6 months so long as the humidity stays high enough there is only really a need to mist about once a week. _________________

If you kept the cresteds on a compacted damp peat substrate then you would be fine leaving them for a couple of days at a time (so long as they have drinking water and food).
Cresteds are very simple to care for, the biggest advantage I find is that no extra heat is needed if your house is average temps 76/77f and you can feed them CGD powder diet and not need live insects. _________________
