That's not what I wanted to here Dean,I may have to pay your shop a visit for some Multimates and start up a small breeding group, the pair of 07 have now had two defrost rat pups each but they were given defrost from the off unlike the 06 male.

yes this was going to be my next option.

have you used it with success?

I only used mouse maker for a royal that wouldn't touch rats and had not success but doesn't mean you will have no luck…. The royal still only eats mice. Good luck.

Iv'e got a pair of Coastals that will eat anything they can fit in their mouths(including fingers) Laughing and a pair of IJ's that will only eat mice fussy sods. I have tried starving them for a month or so and then offering a rat but they just turn their noses up. Put a mouse in and bang they feed like a goodan. As for getting them of off live I think you may have to go down the fresh killed route or have you tried stunning the prey item so it's still kicking.

Well gave in trying the deadprey item and thought I would go and buy a live mouse/small rat, what a waste of time travelled 40-50 miles, visited 5 pet shops, none of which had mice and only two had rats which were full grown which is way to big.Cornwall can be very rubbish sometimes Mad

then placing kitchen towel in a small Tupperware with ventilation and adding snake and prey item,(sounds like a cooking show) leave them over night with lights off.
this has had pleasing results for me, the idea is that the snake eat the fuzzy as it is i such close perimeter with the stinker and may want more room for its self also the confined space should offer more security.
?

Please excuse my giving a word of warning here. I had a clutch of Pituophis last year, each in a small tub with kitchen roll. One of them got the food stuck to the paper and by the time I spotted it it had eaten the food plus half of the paper... Shocked All was well as I was able to pull everything out of the snake, but if not spotted in time the whole lot would have gone down and killed the snake Crying or Very sad
