i was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on breeding females that are in 18 months old. i have some 2006 female morphs that were always exceptional feeders and are in the 1800 - 2000 gram range. they are more then large enough to produce , i was just wondering what other peoples experiences were with breeding females of this age.....what do you think is more important when breeding age or weight? i have had females that were 4 years old produce viable clutches that were smaller then females that have never produced for me at 2-3 years old......

just somthing i was thinking about Very Happy

happy breeding-justin

100% fine at that weight. The main issue is weight as they go off food for so long. I would not hesitate with them.

I have had limited success breeding any females under 24 months old, the key is to properly feel for follicles, if they are growing then they get bred and if not, I won't waste the males energy breeding for nothing.

There is a guy in the US claiming to be breeding an 07 female and he says he's had success before breeding a 700 gr female, is he seeking attention Rolling Eyes

I suppose it is up to the snake?

In the wild they wont get separated from a male till they are "old/big" enough to breed.
