I would love to see a show closer to home!!!
Going back a good 6-7 years i was involved in organising a reptile show in Glenrothes via the now disbanded Scottish Herpetological Society. There was a load of red tape and paperwork involved, many a time it just didn't seem worth the effort!! Ultimately we were able to overcome the issues and the show seemed to be very well received both by those involved in herping and the local community. There was a good 400-450 people through the doors on the day with 20+ vender's in attendance, most of which were just local breeders, myself included. Julian from the North of England ( can't remember the name of his business, but i believe he took over some of Liz Philips business contacts!! ) came up and seemed to do pretty well out of the event.
I doubt if any of the larger breeders / businesses in the UK would make the trip to attend a Scottish show??!! Please prove me wrong!!! _________________ Fraser Gilchrist

Well although I'm looking to organise a north of england show I think a Scottish show would also do well.
For us who live in the north of England the central belt of Scotland is a far better option to visit than the South of England or even the Midlands.
anyway I'm still plowing on with my plans and hope us living north of Birmingham can have some quality shows to attend next year! _________________ Live for today as your dead for a long long time

It's a bit far for me to travel Lynne, but good luck if you do decide to get something going.
I think I'm on my own in Wales _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

Just a thought, but there are plenty of venues around here.. (Blackpool) Dont know any fees involved, but I'm sure you would get more people than most other places in the North of England, because of the rail links and cheap accomodation.
Just an idea. _________________ 2.3 Leopard Geckos Coming Soon
