was browsing for new vivs yesterday and these caught my eye as I like the all glass way they are made.

does anyone have any experience with these at all?

Looking at the design they seem great and easily able to put in various viewable caves etc.. but I couldnt see any way for a thermostat or heat mat to be put in.. lighting obviosuly goes on the mesh above but what about inside?

cheers again

heat mats go on the outside as with all glass vivariums.

I have a 3ft perfecto viv and its a great little viv, unless you want to put arboreal species in it as the mesh isn't very securely fixed to the top

its leopard geckos.

so heat mat under the glass bottom of the tank and no thermometer?

I can see the mat working under the glass but unregulated is not advised I thought?

I also use lights in it so they get a day and night cycle, and so they can come out and bask from time to time, obviously need to be able to regulate that if theres a heat mat under and heat above.. but are there wire access points?

You can run wires in through the top if you thread the carefully, that may be a reason why the mesh top is so loose. And like you say its never advised to run a mat without a stat.

But if you can wait Hagen will be releasing their 3ft exo-terra sometime in the next 12 months. im not sure how tall it will be though.

you mean they are making a terrestrial exo terra? that would be nice I love their design.

But it cant wait to be honest maybe two months max, just hard to choose between so many vivs.. I think I will end up taking one either a vivexotic or one of these perfecto depending on money at the end of the month..

nice.. shame they are not out this month!

perfecto ones here: http://www.everythingforpets.com/perfecto_reptile_habitats.pet/use.id.5.item_id.4775.dept.988/

I really like the perfecto look, but would like to be able to see how to connect things somewhat before forking out!
