Its been a busy couple of days for my frogs!
First, four Epipedobates hahneli tadpoles emerged:
Then, the parents laid another clutch,
And finally, I was able to observe the courting and spawning of my golden mantella, resulting in this huge clutch of eggs:

Ideally I will be swapping young with other mantella breeders to increase the size of the gene pool. I would also use this oppertunity to set up another group or two. After that, theres a list of people who are interested. If there are any left over from that thden I would probably sell them more generally, but I have no idea of price yet.
These are still in the very early stages, so im not ven sure I will be able to get them all to froglet stage. _________________ Interested in amphibians? Join us at Myamphibia for friendly banter, amazing pictures and great information. Make some amphibious friends today! |

Thanks folks.
Tads arent out of the woods yet to be fair... Ive heard they tend to act REALLY stupid when it comes to morphing time-fingers crossed i get them that far!
As far as the mantella go, am very glad they are fertile. Will have to see how things go for these, am wathcing carefully as they hatch after 3-11 days _________________ Interested in amphibians?
