Are you using an SLR? The tip I was told was to put a plant pot over the snake, focus, get ready then get an assistant to whip the pot away. Snap away like crazy until the snake has had enough. you could always put a small heatmat under the cloth you are using as a background.

Thanks Stuart, most helpful I shouldn't have know I could rely on you for wisdom and moral support There in lies the problem you see, my assistants aren't being very willing, and neither are the flipping snakes!!
Thanks Wullie, two very useful tips, unlike Mr Clown I've got a Fuji finepix S9500, it takes fantastic photos, assuming you can get you subject not to make a break for it. I'm also going to have to get considerably BIGGER plant pots
I think I jave just found a way around it, not how I wanted to photograph them, but it worked. Leave them in their rubs and shove that under the spotlight and camera
Thanks for the assistance, Stuart, back to the custard and chocolate for you _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

I know how to keep the corns still, apart from a stapler as Pete suggested You feed em Funnily enough they don't move far when they are trying to get their dinner down, just like my kids, only time they are more or less quiet _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

Some snakes are just impossible to take a pic of.
Ball Pythons are a piece of cake. |

I wish they would behave more like a piece of cake! Leaving them in their RUBS seems to have worked, you should be able to see the results later _________________ www.draco2.co.uk
