the pics of my incubator . it has an old thermometer in it just to check the temps got high enough with the 2 mats i had fitted . i have since replaced it with a digi .
hope these help ya . i cut an observation hole into the front door and sealed it with glass both sides . this enables me to keep an eye on the eggs without opening the door . i was gonna fit an internal light but found that a flash light works just as well for inspecting them . the glass was fitted as follows . i removed the door and drilled 4 holes (1 in each corner) from the inside out wards . this alowed me to get the window in a position that allowed an easy seal that wasnt effected by the egg tray and such . then i cut the outside steel side of the door with tin snips . the foam and plastic inner seal were easily cut with a simple wood saw . then i used silicone to seal the glass either side of the door and replaced it . sorted .

what hatch rate would you get leaving the eggs with the female compared to putting them in an incubator. am not going to, just wondered. i know the females wont eat etc when on eggs, but could this be successful? _________________
