Temps!! Temps!! Temps!! they are driving us mad!! we have got a stat for the heat mat but when we have the stat on the mat it wont even get warm, when we take the stat of it goes through the roof!!

The light as a dimmer on it its only 60watt but again it dose not even change the temps in any way, we need to get the temps right as he is starting to shed milky eyes any advice would be great.

have you turned the STAT to the temp you want the mat to go to?

Yes the stat is set to 90 f but feels cold if i just put the mat on without the stat it warms up i have a 60 what bulb too and the and the max temp is about 84 F Yes i have a moss hide in there too

Yes 2 ft viv bulb 60 w bulb blue heat mat both on stats set to right temps but so to low and snake is going to shed and if the temps are wrong he will have a bad shed and eyes caps might stay too

what make of stat is it? does it have a knob or a wee bit where you have to stick a screwdriver in to adjust it? how do you have the probe stuck to the mat? and can we have a picture of the set up?

i can not get a pics up both my stats are micro the probe in under the mat but when the stat in on the mat no heat comes for the mat
