hi
i have got my ackies mating and the female is digging test holes in the nest box.
what is the best way to incubate the eggs. and what are the problem thats people have hatching them.

Hi Thomas,
I have never hatched ackies but the general approach seem to be to incubate them at 30C (86f) using perlite or vermiculite mixed with equal parts water by weight (1:1). It is important to keep them in a sealed container so moisture cannot escape. When the egg box is opened for inspection there should be sufficient gas exchange.
The biggest problem seems to be people adding water later on during incubation resulting in the eggs becoming turgid and drowning the offspring.
