I absolutely love them, although I don't get to see them very often they're nocturnal and quite secretive, though I do sit and watch them at night under red LED's. _________________ Sophie

Thanks!
Well, seeing as this topic has resurfaced i'll update on how the little nipper is getting on...
Nearly 5 months on, and his body striping has now developed the orange colouring - very striking against his white tail stripes and his still very black body!

In shops they generally retail at between £50-£70.

Unfortunately the second egg failed I had a 6 week trip away during its incubation and I left instructions with my mother to make sure the humidity stayed at the correct level (spray as necessary) and to add water to the vermiculite...I have a feeling that she closely monitored the ambient humidity but didn't check that the vermiculite stayed moist
Absolutely gutting - really highlights the importance of keeping the substrate moist through incubation.
Though having blown my savings on travelling abroad in the summer means that I will be around to personally tend to my eggs this coming year... _________________ Sophie

Neep that lil' baby is gorgeous, as are mummy and daddy
I've said it before but if you ever decide to sell on any future babies, stick me at the top of the list
