that noise sounds like one is biting another, either aggression or mating. Are there any scars or marks on them at all?

Viv size, ideally 2ft cubed. Also try adding loads more hiding spaces and visual barriers.

If its a crestie they squeak , growl and make other noises , some people say they are talking to each other , but as said make sure that they are not fighting

I'm pretty sure adult cresties make squeaks and chirps just as communication; its not necessarily aggressive. And as you say, if you've not caught them near each other at the time of the noises, and none of them seem to be hurt, they're probably not fighting. Maybe its even the female who's calling?

The only concern I have is if you have two adult males together, things could get aggressive if they both decide they want to mate with the female, even if they've always been together fine before.

I think a single adult size tank would be 18"X18"X24" minimum - but bigger is better - and lots of things to climb on is a must : )
I have one small juvenile in a 12X12X18 at the mo - just to give you an idea of sizes.

^_^ good luck with them - and let us know if princess really does turn out to be a prince!

2ft x 2ft x 2ft for all 3 should be fine if you have it well set up. Just make sure it's well stocked with plants and hiding places Wink

is the snappy female the one that 'might' be male? if so, I would say the aggression was down to them both being male and naturally fighting for mating rights and territory. Otherwise, it could be the male is trying to mate with the female, and shes none to happy about it.

If I were you I would get the sex of the female confirmed and whatever the outcome, if they're continuing to fight, seperate her/him into a seperate viv.
