Quote: | My plan would be to keep them together from that initial cage all the way through to adult hood, via the differing cage sizes.
What sort of feeding regime do you use for yours? |
I had 3 baby V. Albigs raised up in 40 gallon, then into a 4x2 and so on and so forth. You could raise them up in a larger cage but It would be more difficult, in my opinion. If you could, I would suggest putting them in something smaller, get them acclimated and feeding strongly before you put them into a large enclosure like that.
As for feeding, I feed babies as much as they will eat everyday. I alternate between crickets, mealworms, roaches (dusted with calcium supplement) and rodents. As they get larger, I stop offering bugs and give mostly rodents and birds (chicks and quail). And as they get larger, theres not really a set schedule that I go by. In example, my adult pair of V. Albigularis, I feed the male whenever I feel he needs to eat. V. Albig. get obese really easily and need to fed accordingly. I try to feed my female Albig more often because the male always eats her share! PIG!! hahaha...
Cheers,
