dont need to mist for too long ,

i use a pump spray and maybe have it on for 30 secs to a minute . just giving everything a light soak .

then once a week i soak the substrate again as it drys out , i also soak the branches and cork bark in the bath at the same time

best thing to do is get a hydrometer so you can keep an eye on the humidity

as for handling it depends on the cretsies mood at the time . to begin with they can be a bit jumpy then they calm down a bit . i rarely have them out for longer than five minutes every other day though .

sub/adult Cresties never need to be sprayed if they have access to clean water, none of my adult Cresties get sprayed and they never had any problems not even with shedding.Hatchlings and Juvies just need a lite daily misting normally in the evening.

I mist my 2 (1 juvi crested and 1 adult gargoyle) every evening, just enough so everything is nice and moist.

I also try to get mine out every night for about 20 min each time but sometimes thats not possible, because of the mood the gecko is in at the time!
