Will Vieled's still eat greens when real plants are used?
Wanting to give them the best diet possible,so if they do what should i be offering them as they don't seem to be interested in Gem lettuce. |

As was already said...some will and some won't.
I have given mine greens (dandelion, kale, collards, endive, escarole, mustard greens, etc.) and veggies (carrot, squash, sweet red pepper, sweet potato, zucchini, etc.) and a bit of fruit (apple, pear, berries, melon, etc.). I cut the apple, pear, sweet red pepper and other similar things into thin wedges and impale them on the branches. I dice the squash, carrots, sweet potato, zucchini and such and put it in a dish. The leaves can be impaled on a branch or chopped up and put in the dish. All of these things will feed any free-roaming crickets while they are waiting to be eaten (poor things...sitting on death's row) so the "salad" serves two purposes! |

Thank you for the replies,
I will try them on some,if they eat it it can only be a benefit,
If not i like the idea of their lunch being keep healthy, bit
like the last supper really, but we do all have a purpose in life.
By the way Karen been reading a lot of your post's and i must
admit you have some nice setups and stunning chams.

I found that if they wont touch the greens i put the greens in a tub then put a few mealies on top and dusted over the top the movement from the mealies then would attract them and they will eat both
