whats the Price for a red tail boa and whats their cage size when they are adults. if you have a RTB can you post pics of your set up? thanks

hi just so u know i dont keep thses boas but for babys ive seen them at 80-120pounds and adults120-180.
i dont quit now what tank size but at baby they like small places like ball pythons

well do you mean true red tailed boas? true red tailed boas sell for £100 to £250 as they are much rarer. Boa constrictor constrictor - BCC, adult sizes are about 8 to 10 foot i believe.

the common boa (Boa constrictor imperator) - BCI sell for £50 to £250 depending on locality, size varies with locality as well. A normal common boa will grow to 9 foot max. Hogg island boas grow to 6 foot max, and el salvador aka central american boas grow to 4/5 foot. males in both species are significantly smaller.

the general fule for snakes is that the length + width should equal the length of the snake. so viv sizes would be a minimum as follows:
- BCC - large room sized enclosure when adult, eg 6 x 6 feet
- Common BCI - 4' x 2' x 2' or 5' x 2' x 2'
- Hogg isle - 4 x 2 x 2
- el salvador - 3 x 2 x 2

it depends on if your talking about BCI or BCC. BCI's are cheaper to purchase and generally get smaller then BCC's so do not require such a large viv.

from what i have read about boas they are not as shy as ball pythons so they arnt to fussed if they are in a bigger viv, within reason.

for viv size i disagree with you there i say a vivs good for length plus width twice so example a 4x2 viv can house a max length of 8 foot snake
