Was wondering what size tubs people use to hold their eggs in the incubator…. Will be buying a polystyrene box soon so would like to know roughly the size of boxes people you.

A tub around the size of a medium contico would be fine, or even a small
would probably be ok

don't be buying a poly box mate, go to a tropical fish shop, they will give you one for free, it saves them having to dispose of them. Wink

Those are just the job, plus the clear plastic food containers - about 10 inches square, 7 inches deep. When you have even 20 plus clutches, you need to have a room to incubate them in if you use polly boxes..
We have a large, upright freezer converted into an incubator and eight, thermostatically controlled, electrically heated propagators with false, 14swg mesh floors that take two tubs in each.

i use plastic bread boxes from morrison's.ive got a pic somewhere of a lil incubator i built last spring.ill try and dig it out

here you go,it doesnt look too fancy but it certainly did the job.it maintained a good temp too with only a .5 degree differance from top to bottom once i fitted the 2 fans
