Ive had a newborn ATB for quite a few weeks now but cannot get it to feed despite trying many of the usual methods.
Im keeping it 82-84C with 76-78 ish ambients, in a tub, with a couple of branches and one small piece of plastic plant. I spray once daily and keep a water bowl in the warmer side. The ATB spends most of its time on a branch in the warmer end. It is kept in a reptile room so does not get disturbed, plus I handle only when necessary - when cleaning its box.
So far I have only tried feeding at night in dimmed lighting. I have tried:-
Pinkies heated and wiggled slightly
pinky heated and wiggled lots
pinky unheated, wiggled plus left in
pinky heated and brained, wiggled then left on branch
pinky heated and stomach split, wiggled and left in on floor over a heatmat
fuzzies, heated, wiggled and left in
fuzzies, heated and tapping the snakes tail/body ( only one out of three hatchlings has fed up to now and this is what worked with one)
very small rat pup heated and wiggled

I have tried reducing temperatures for an hour before feeding as suggested by a friend.

I have yet to try scenting with frogs or fish
I also leave a few days in between feeding attempts so as not to stress it.
Im currently super heating a pinky on a radiator to try feeding this morning - Ive kept the reptile room in very dull lighting with blinds closed this morning.

I should also add that I have a great deal of patience when feeding and am generally used to getting difficult feeders started, but I was wondering if there was some specific approach that might work with ATBs ( as there is with my boiga hatchlings)
Does anyone with experience of getting new ATB hatchlings feeding have any ideas? Can you see anything in my set up that could be altered?

I would offer it lizard scented mouse then warm the mouse up at room temperature and dip the face into boiling water (because for most ATBs if they grab the mouse anywhere bar the head and they will constrict it at then drop it).
