Stunning FT's Smile We've got two Amels and a normal stripe, and they do love to dig Smile

Sorry to hijack, but how do you keep your fatties? I want to move them onto Eco Earth, which at the moment they only have in their moist hides. We've got 1 male Amel about 6 months, I female Normal just under a year and a female Amel just over a year. Would it be ok to move them onto this now, they have 24"x18"x18" wood vivs so i'll need to work out how to line them out.

I use a mix of 50/50 sand and eco earth with sphagnum moss in the damp hides.

Works great for me.

Thanks Young_Gun, that helps. I think I'll get some playsand then and mix it with the Eco earth for them. I feed them mealies in a dish, so I won;t have to worry about them eating too much of it, and I've always got moss here for the Leo's moist hides Smile

I am planning on moving mine over into a mahoosive viv soon when I can grab another amel stripe and stripe female and I am going to set it up the same but grab some of the Zoo Med 'Excavator' clay substrate stuff, you wet it I think and you can make solid clay burrows from it, its really amazing, they will then be my damp hides and burrows for them to use.
