Do not use building sand as a nesting material, this an error on the site.

Good site very informative.

Have you had problems using the building sand, or is it just a poor nesting Medium use.

I have never used building sand it's very coarse.
The type of sand I use for the storrs is Wickes Block paving sand, this stuff is great when damp and very soft on their limbs and feet when they dig. Keeps their skin nice and bright also.
