now i know that you can feed a leopard gecko mealworms but not to often cos they become addicted to them but i was curious to know if you can fill a bowl of dried mealworms and feed them ?
any help will be much appreciated! |

Do you mean wax worms?
They can get addicted to waxworms,
dunno about dried ones? |

no mealworms
reason y is cos where i work we got at least a tone of the lil buggers and i asked my boss andhe said i can have a big 10kgs for £10 but i wasnt to sure so thought i ask the experts first

many of the top leopard gecko breeders use 100% mealworms from the moment they hatch.
I too switched to mealworm on 4 groups and have seen a vast improvement in the geckos.
If you do decide to do this, you must make sure that you don't use 'straight out the tub', you must feed the mealworms really well for at least a week to fully gut load them. Also put calcium in the feeding dish when you feed to the geckos.
You can store mealworms in the fridge, take out one weeks worth at a time, feed for a week and then start using, mean while get the next weeks worth out and start feeding them, keep this going each week and you should have a supply of great quality mealworms.

I agree with scott, makes me laff when i see peeps posting do not feed meal worms to leos.And the old stories coming out that they can out there way out of gecko lol...
trempers geckos dont fair to badly on 100%mealworms as he quotes in some of his books . |
