As advised by the fire department, a wet/damp cloth to breathe through in a smoke filled room reduces the risk of damage to the lungs and increase the chances of survival.

Could they be wrong?

Ask the same fire department whether they advise doing it in a non emergency.

No, you may be right on that one.

A bad shed isn't an emergency, nor is a retained eye cap or 2. So lets just leave our royals to their own devices, we can all sit back an see how long it takes for an infection to kick in. After all they dont need our help they'll be just fine in their natural plastic box, glass/wooden viv environment.

A little too sarcastic maybe?

No, you knew exactly what context I meant it in, and that context had sod all to do with royals whatsoever.

Not sarcastic, just idiotic and tryin to prove a point.

Maybe i am! Could even be narrow minded! Or maybe not!

At the end of the day everyone wants whats best and will offer up any advice they have that works for them. Nothing more nothing less!

Most people are open to new ideas and suggestions and more than capable of making their own decission as to whats right for them and their reptiles.

My point is just because its not your way or someone elses way, it doesn't mean its the wrong way!

it's not you i am getting at m8, in fact i not really getting at anyone, just trying to say that this method has been proven and used for many years, it's not all that bad, in fact it's probably better for the snake to go through that than the alternative.

i soaked the cardboard inserts from the middle of kitchen roll, and she lay in them. she shed with no problem, and it all came off. i was just scared that because she had not eaten for so long, the shed would be a bad one. as it was it was perfect.
went to offer her a mouse tonight. and she struck, but missed. after that she was more interested in chasing the tongs about!!!! will try in couple of days again.
