What hasn't been mentioned in this link is feeding during breeding. I would happily put a smaller girl through breeding if she continued to eat small meals. In my opinion it is far safer than a slightly larger girl that goes off food the minute she is cooled. Same goes for the boys, keep them feeding small meals every 10 days and they won't get too exhausted. I have all my girls and boys eating at the moment and they have been breeding for a month and half. The boys are locking for a minimum of 24hrs now so things are getting more serious. Each female has been mated at least 4 times. I do expect the girls to go off soon but I know that they have had at least 4 important meals during breeding. Its not always about weight, its more about condition in my opinion.
