So I'm playing with the idea of placing my horned frogs in 18L Really use full boxes as a temporary housing option as i feel they have out grown there glass 12" cubes.
Dose any one know if the plastic could or dose give off any thing harmful?
Kind regards

I've kept and bred frogs in plastic containers of less quality for periods of time with no ill affect just give it a real good wash out before use with a bit of ditergant then a very good rinse and ur be fine. _________________ Paul

I have been using these for years for raising tadploes and froglets with no ill affects, they are also foodgrade plastic. _________________ Bill |

A good tip is to soak well in warm water _________________ Interested in amphibians? Join us at Myamphibia for friendly banter, amazing pictures and great information. Make some amphibious friends today! |

i had some crocodile newt larvae die when i kept them in a new plastic stacker. I put the next batch in an old well used stacker and they were fine so as Sam says leave them to soak for quite a while. Mind you the larvae of that species of newt are delicate. |

Well I'm happy to say the RUBoxes have worked out really well and the frogs would seem to be rather relaxed in there tubs _________________ retierd and spending my childrens inheritance. |
