Hi all,
My corn Angel shed this morning, as usual she didn't have any trouble doing it all in one piece thankfully. As i checked her shed skin to make sure it was all complete i noticed 2 tiny spots of dried blood around the cloaca area.
Is this fairly common when snakes shed? or should i be worried?
Any insight to why this has happened would be a great help as it's never happened before and i'm a little concerned.
Thanks

Hi Neffy, Lynne is right the little spots of blood you saw are nothing to worry about they are absolutely normal. All my corns have them on their shed skins nine times out of ten, and they get bigger as the corn grows.
I think it is the skin just inside the reproductive area that gets renewed when they shed that causes this, which would account for why it gets bigger as they get older.
Hope that reassures you, best wishes, _________________ Susie
