i believe that the interest in the hobby is getting huge. Ball pythons have become one of the most recognisable and inticeing reptiles. ive done my fair share of expo's and noticed that as prices change into a more attainable level more people are giving ball pythons a serious chance. not to mention i think they are great "gate way" constrictor. they open the door for other species that are a little more challenging. once people get there feet wet with royals they seem to pay attention to other interesting reptiles.......al least thats what happend to me. i went from having a couple royals to carpet pythons, tree boas, fat-tail gecko morphs(alot of stuff happining with these...just wait!!) and a bunch of monitors now i have over200 + mouths to feed......so i guess not only has the ball market helped its self, its helped the reptile world aswell.
