Anyone got thoughts on what I posted????

Why do the american breeders sell in europe/uk, is it because there own market has become saturated?

Yes & No, in Europe they have no real competition so if one or two 'Big Names' come to a show many people would prefer to buy from them (even if the stock isn't as good as some UK/Europe animals) and they have an easy market.

In the USA they are plenty of big name breeders to choose so it's more difficult to sell.

makes sense, but it wont be long before your name is up there (SCOTT)with them Laughing Some heavy UK competition will make things interesting.
JUST wondering as I dont go to any of the shows.
Does it ever happen e.g. NERD selling his own stuff along side EX NERD via CPR

i dont even know what i think to be honest on this question Laughing will prices drop??thats innevitable....will interest drop?? i dont believe so....will the ball craze remain strong? no i dont think it will stay as strong as it is i firmly believe it will get stronger, how many folks can afford 15 k for a snake??but how many can afford a 4-500 quid snake?the more the morphs come into 'buetifull pet' price ranges the more people will keep them.i also believe the days of royals being known as terrible feeders seems to be gone as well, multi generations of captive breeding seems to be making a more stable snake as opposed to poor snakes dragged out of burrows in the wild and then offered a poor quality defrosted rat Crying or Very sad im not suggesting all royals feed like clock work all the time but my collection of royals are far from fussy feeders and i do firmly beleive that when a snake is started off well and got into a good routine that has got to help the snake stay in the feeding vibe as it grows Wink just my thought's.ill also be purchasing differant morphs at any opportunity that arises, long live the royal pyton Very Happy

Mike, I know Ralph Davis doesn't bother doing the shows in Europe because he doesn't have much bother selling in America.

This topic is talked about a lot in the UK. Prices fall, oh well, it's going to happen. If you're able to take back money to fund it all then excellent.

I love all of mine, grumpy, relaxed, shy, what ever their personalities are, i think they're ace. I have all mine in racks now, and sometime's it's difficult to take me out of that room. In another thread you may have noticed i converted a viv into two, and i will probably plan on buying in some stacks at some point so they can easily be looked at (although some will probably be thinking "crap, now he can see us all the time, time to hide" Laughing I wanted to breed royals before i even got any morphs, so the whole hidden agenda on people who buy morphs want to breed them, is probably almost true (i know some who don't), but there's no reason to suspect the person buying morphs didn't want to breed royals before. Watching little baby royals come out of the egg's is a great feeling Smile

I agree with everyone else, and that once everything is down to pastel prices, then there will be even more people after them.

Laughing Cheers Mike, at Hamm in December I had a table in the same hall as Mike & Bob, my prices were higher BUT I still sold plenty Wink People could see the advantage of buying a 300-500g snake from me compared to a 100g snake being sold off cheap by others. There will always be people prepared to buy anything so long as it's cheap and there will always be people who actually look beyond the price and buy the best animals they can.
