Curious to know what everyone is using to feed their cresteds, CGD, crickets, locust, other insects, fruit or your own special recipe?
Please post up what you add to any of the CGD diets etc _________________

I use the CGD powder mixed with pureed bananas and water to make a really running mix. Not used any insects for my adults for about 3 months now.
Babies I use 90% crickets with a small dish of the CGD mix once per week. _________________

I voted straight CGD because that is almost 100% of what my male gets. Just mixed with water and he wolfs it down. He has had that since I got him (apart from when there was a shortage and then he had to have banana paste that I made). He does have the odd lobster roach every now and again just so he doesn't get bored.
My female just won't take the CGD at all so she is just on roaches but seen as I've had the male since hatchling I voted on what he eats.
Edit to say that I might have to try your banana/CGD mix with the female to see if I can get her over to straight CGD eventually (by reducing the amounts of banana in it) |

I have had all my rhacs on the two part diet since the beginning of the year,This with dubia roaches once or twice a month. For the youngsters I use more roaches say once a week.
I don't add anything to the diet as it has been formulated to be a complete diet,if I need to vary the food given I just use a different flavor.I keep two on the go at the moment one is fig the other mango.I have had no problems with any of them taking this diet, crested's,gargoyles, leachies, chahoua and sarasinorum are all doing really well on it. |

Just getting mine off crickets and onto CGD...Had their first bowl of it last night and though it said on the tub that if you've previously been feeding baby food to mix it in over time...I thought I'd see how they went with straight CGD...And they've lapped the whole bowl up! _________________ 1.1.1 Crested Geckos

My babies seem to prefer eating crickets to the CGD so they are fed mostly on crickets. My adults are fed almost exclusively on the two part system which they love. _________________

I feed my younger ones on a mixture of crickets and the CGD.
Scott can I ask why you feed your babies mainly on crickets?
I have heard that they grow better on crickets? _________________ Regards, Paul.

Same reason human vegetarians aren't (generally) as strong/healthy as meat eaters - low protein _________________ A lil bit of Madagascar

Mostly crix for mine, but has the occasional CGD mixed with a baby food, fruit puree or water. Going to try out the 2 part diet when and if it becomes more readily available over here _________________ 0.0.1 Rhacodactylus ciliatus (Crested Gecko) |
