Not saying you should make your own but if you were to do it go to B&Q superstore for your wood you can get the white covered board for fairly cheap a six foot by three foot will cost you about £12-£14, the runners you can pick up for £1.75 for four foot lengths, glass you can get for a matter of a fiver if that, a piece of hardbord for the back is about 98p, screws for fixing you can get a big bag for £1 and the silicone is quite expensive I got a tube of e-bay for £7 but that will be enough for a good few vivs. But I know where your coming from I cant be arsed makiong them myself sometimes I get strange bursts of energy and make myself one!
