I keep my pair in slightly different enclosures due to one being more willing to come above ground. The male has 4" of substrate (50/50 coco humus/sand) with pieces of cork bark on top. The female has 1" of substrate and a single hide.
I have found the male more willing to come above ground and feed, therefore he has a deeper substrate which im certain this spp prefers. The female however was less willing to come above ground, although when she did or i dug her out she would feed fine, so i altered her enclosure.
Hope this helps a bit
Rob

good work, i myself am hoping to breed this species. They are beautiful to look at and interesting captives.
Im not sure if it is published yet but try to find a book called 'eye-lash geckos', i dont have it yet but have been told there is a care guide including breeding guidlines.
Id be interested to hear how the breeding program goes.
