i have 3 albino gophers 2 female 1 male and 1 hpyostripe albino male.

if i bred the male and female albinos, and bred the albino with the hypo stripe what kind of morphs will be made. i know its a touch and go with morph types but i would like to know roughly what would happen?

many thanks

Hi Sean

In the simplest form this is what you can expect,

Albino x albino= albino
Albino x hypo = albino(het for hypo)

As for the striping well thats not so straight forward.
Breeding two striped animals together does not mean your gona get all stripes (if any) and i know cases of stripe to stripe producing all blotched!! Confused .

Hope this helps..........AL

my males are smaller than the females, does this bring on prblems when breeding, also am i right to say maturity is 2 1/2 year old.

no problems with the females thinking males are food, i know this is far off but just a question i have to ask,

hypo male= 2 1/2
albino female 2/1/2
albino female 3
albino male = 2 (too young)

also any special requirements for brumation
(same as corns)

males are fine being on the smaller side compared to females of the same age.

no problems with the females thinking males are food, i know this is far off but just a question i have to ask,

No probs ala king/milk species with cannibalism and i understand why you ask if king/milk are species your familar with mate.

hypo male= 2 1/2
albino female 2/1/2
albino female 3
albino male = 2 (too young)

All these will be fine and of course in their third season by '08,as for the male i don't see why he won't be able to do the biz for nxt season.

also any special requirements for brumation
(same as corns)

I use the same method is used when i last bred corns (10+ yrs ago) with my north american pits (mainly annectans),perhaps a touch cooler if neccs.
Hope this helps mate Smile RGDS.......AL
