no roy the only way to get a pastel from normal parents is if you breed two 100% het pastels

Yeah but thats what the bloke said mine were, 100% het pastels because they got to be because they came from a pastel clutch like.

It's interesting to learn that it's been proven "beyond reasonable doubt" that the amount of white in piebalds does not appear to be genetically determined.

When did i say that ?
I don't believe in 'low white modifiers' so I cant comment on the rest of that.[/quote]

You said: "It has been proven beyond reasonable doubt at this point that the amount of white in pieds is not reproduced consistantly from generation to generation."

I took that to mean that it has been proven beyond reasonable doubt that the amount of white in pieds is not reproduced consistantly from generation to generation - ie, it's not inherited, it's not genetically determined. If I misunderstood, I apologise.

Dont try and imply that inbreeding a single morph, and singly breeding one normal are in any way similar. Please.

I do not understand what this means, sorry. Normal snakes of other species can be specifically bred for a particular appearance. Why not royals?

I am really sorry to hear that the seller of your snakes was either a total numpty or was simply not being honest. This illustrates the whole point of my question, people using the 'sibling' term to mean more than it should. In a way the Pastel is itself a visible het in that two Pastels together produce a Super Pastel, so anything in a litter of co-doms that looks normal.... is Crying or Very sad The only thing lower down the genetic scale - if that makes sense - than a het, is a normal....

Not 'in a way'. They are het for Super Pastel just like cinnamon is het for super cinnamon and yellow belly is het for ivory

No. His normal looking pastel siblings are just normals and will produce more normals.
