Hi Eric,

That's a cracking ringer!

As I said I wouldn't for one second say that all royals with 'het pied markers' will be het pieds (and certainly wouldn't suggest they are if the parents are unknown) but from what I have seen so far all the clutches from the male pied to a normal female have had real strong 'markers' but not a single baby from any other clutch.

Ringers can be thrown by any morph. It is a misconception to think that Ringers and pieds are connected. A lot of work was done with Ringers in the States by Kevin at NERD, Ralph Davis and VPI to prove the connection but none could be found.
Assuming that a Ringer is a het pied can be a costly mistake if the breeding isn't known.
