I am sorry to put a downer on things but I have just read on another forum of proposed new licensing for keepers of the "Big 4" amongst snake keepers. I know it has been talked about before but the post I read spoke of it being scheduled to be in place later THIS YEAR. It would mean that anyone keeping/intending to keep any form (incl dwarf) of Burmese, Retic, African rock python or Anaconda would be required to hold a DWA licence which could only be obtained from the relevant local council. The licence would, apparently, prove both difficult & costly to acquire. Up until now such licences have only been required for keepers of venomous ("Hot" snakes!!??) and Caiman etc. The post then read that inquiries had been made into the cost involved which scared the inquirer off. I have posted back asking for details and will report back any response on this forum. Right, does anyone know the truth? Scott, you must be keyed up on the licensing side of things. Any light which could be shed on this would be much appreciated. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

I fully intend to, just have to wait till there is a grown up to help me. (I`m 37 years old but rubbish with computers!) Seriously though, I will do when my computer literate friend arrives to help either later or tomorrow. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD
