Hello
What do people use for water bowls for large females, Shes got into the habit of tipping it up. Complete pain when she does twice a day.
She thinks she is a water snake.

thanks will appreciate it. she,s not a typical royal can be aggressive and has no fear, so at night cannot get her out to put her in dry box without her thinking I am food.

i use plastic dog dishes from ikea, they are about 1$ each and double as a hide, they come in two sizes large and small and almost never get tipped over here is a pic of the smaller bowls...the snake in the pic is about 800 grams for comparision, the larger bowls are more then double the size of that one

I use the glass inserts from old washing machines. You can get them from your local recycling center. I usually manage to pick them up for about £1 to £5, depending if you take the door of yourself or have the guys do it for you (the door frames usually only have a few screws to undo).
They are easy to clean, make great heavy water bowls and none of my big snakes have managed to tip them over so far! _________________ Connie |
