looking good Gina, the only thing I would say is to add deeper substrate (2") and then really compact it down.

With only a thin layer as you have got it dries out too quick or gets to wet after spraying/watering.

Other than that it's a perfect set up....and yes those poly back grounds are naff Laughing

Cheers guys. Wink
Yeah i only ordered one block of eco earth when i ordered the new plants as i figured it would do plenty,i didn't realise how big the bottom of the exo actually is so i need to get another one to top it up,i did compact it down though.I actually would prefer to use kitchen towel as i don't like eco earth much but it doesn't hold moisture very well so i would be constantly spraying. Is peat ok? We get it in bags from Wilkos for our T's but wasn't sure about using it for the cresties, hence the reason i bought the eco earth but if its ok to use (has no added nasties) then i could use that, otherwise i have to buy online as we have no rep shops about here Sad

Gina, I use Irish moss peat from any garden center, the important thing is to keep it compacted. Although it's 'moss' peat, it does not contain any actual moss, I used normal moss once and found babies choking on it...moss is the only thing I really stress not to use.

You can buy the eco earth blocks from pound shops and Wilkinsons. They're much cheaper than the pet stores but it's the same stuff.
