I used to use aubiose for my larger snakes in the UK,

Its great, when the animals expel waste it just clumps together for easy spot cleaning. In the end I found a similar product which had smaller grains and I could use for all my snakes.

I had plenty of suplliers near me as there was lots of horsey people in the local area.

It looks allot nicer than newspaper !

I use it for rodents and snakes, and at that price complete changes don't cost and arm and a leg.

Do you get any mites etc in the bedding? Because I find loads of mites in the sawdust while im cleaning out the mice.
I was wondering if they can be passed onto it during holding (providing its all kept in the same place at the shops?).

Also whats its like in terms of the snakes being fed on it?

I haven't had a problem with mites from the aubiose or the sawdust bedding, althought freezing it before hand should help this problem.

I do feed in the viv, with substrate, but I do have an area that is clear, like slate tiles or stones, where I put or dangle the rodent.
