| How far would you build the platform from the bulb and I take it I should use a 60watt bulb or where would you get the 40watt halogen dichroic spots? |

| Hi mate I would maybe consider building a 3ft viv yourself..dont get me wrong penines are fine for the price but you do get what you pay for..and as said too much heat and they will warp.. |

I did suggest a 3 foot viv to the guy I'm buying it off but he say it would be too big as its only a small animal.Maybe he is mistaken its problem 05 when. I'll just have to see when it gets here I've loads of viv's anyway. |

I have wooden vivs here too but I have my dwarf boas in 3 ft pennies and they do fine. |

You cannot compare a snakes needs to that of a lizard..You can keep a 6ft snake in a 4ft viv but not a 6ft lizard,,see my point..  |

have you seen the animal ? what size is it ? a 2ft penine works quite well for somone I know but this is only when they are much smaller soon as they are in the 6mth old area they are to large for that kind of viv unless they have been under fed
I keep babys in a 2ft with a 40 watt spot and they do well the 2ft i use for mine is one of the viv teq ones used mainly got GTP's they work well and the basking site is still 140 with a 40 watt with background temps of 80-85 at the base of the basking stack I use a reptisun 10.0 tube in there for UV
I dont have a burrow box in with the babys I simply have a couple of inches of sand over the floor and it deep in one corner
I find its easy to keep clean doesnt allow them to hide to the point you cant easily check on them but allows them to remain hidded most of the time I also provide one of those shallow plastic rock effect water dishes in there I top up daily this allows the babys good access to water without risk of drowning |

I have been told the animal is about 15cms long and I haven't seen it as I live in N. Ireland and I'm having it flown over should be here for friday.What humidity would you want the viv to stay at? |
