I have never used a Digital camera b4. I know I am a heathen, I am also a fully subscribed member of the luddite movement!
But I thought it's time to join the 21st century and spend some hard earned lager vouchers.
Argos are doing a good deal on the Samsung Digimax A7 down from £329 to £164.99. This sounded good to me plus other offers on accesories if you buy the camera at the same time. Only got it yesterday so not had time to play with it been to busy.
Please don't tell me it's a crap camera otherwise I will be scarred for life and you will have to pay my thearapy bill! ( apparently it's all my mothers fault).
Anyways any hints and tips or websites that may help me use it correctly muchly appreciated. Thanks.
Now I can post some pics!
cheers Rick |

ephotozine.com (or .org maybe) and dpreview.com are nice sites for advice.
For macro/closeup photos, press the flower button
to turn the flash off/on, press the lightning button
to focus, half press the shutter button then full press to take the shot.
To lessen the chance of lost photos, before you take it out you should wipe the card then format it again. Start afresh each time.
best advice thou, go out and take photos. sounds simple/silly but the more photos you take, the more you will understand the camera and its limitiations and how to make it work for you.
its a plastic body(but what isnt under £200?) but good zoom and mp:-) The photos will be the proof if its good or not thou(samsung usually are from what I have seen)
peace
