Was talking to a Dutch friend a few nights ago, we were supposed to meet up in Daytona (missed each other by 15 minutes...lol)

Anyway, he told me that he and his friends went off after the reptile expo to do some snake hunting....guess what he found... a young Burmese python! This was not a release but a wild hatched youngster, apparently there are now 100's in the everglades.

Also, there was a wild snake bite in the Florida area, can't remember if the victim died but the interesting thing was that they were bitten by a Greem Mamba (African species!!!). Again, this was out in there back yard!

I was speaking to someone living out there a while back and he was saying driving along tarmac roads at night your more likely to find small burmese pythons than any others species of snake...and we get bloody grass snakes!!

niles are in epidemic proportions now they are really worried about the effect they are going to have as simply put they are at the top of the food chain with gators they have no real predators and the area is so ideal for them in terms of climate and habitat so it looks like they will in years to come simply be part of the scernry

When Chris was in the State of Florida, he, along with Blake and Rob came across this little lady.

Sadly her clutchmate was dead near by.
Annie as she is now known lives in Texas with Blake and family as is a wonderful tame Snake.
She took a while to take Fresh Killed, and at times will also take Defrosted.
I will try to get an up to date picture of Annie

I've been thinking......

Maybe this is the new plan for international terrorists?

Introduce large carnivores into native populations, watch them thrive on local fauna then move on to eating people.
You have burms to pick off kids, niles to munch on the women and i forsee croc monitors appearing to take out the adult men.

Clever man that Osama bin Laden!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
