cheers stu, I have spoken to several people who's females were grown on as a normal BCI would be, and at parturition a lot were dying. When a PM was done the orgas were not as developed as they should have been, as in they belonged to a smaller snake! And this was a regular occurence so a lot of the breeders are growing on the females a lot slower due to this!
Hope that helps

Cheers for that Pete..wouldn't that be the findings with any boa/snake that has been powerfed to get it up to breeding size? _________________

yes I agree but from what I am told it appears more prevelent in arabesques than any other morph so far! _________________ 1.0 striped supersalmon DEAD

Lovely snakes, I do like Boas when albino, it seems to suit them.
Interesting about the over feeding too. _________________ 31August2008-Kent Reptile Show (Amphibians & Inverts welcome) for more information & Booking e:mail: mrac@sky.com |
