hi, i bought a pair of green snakes, but am unsure wot species they are or if there even poisonous! every time i go near them they recoil into the strike position and threat with their mouth open, the inside of the mouth is jet black it reminds of of the black mamba, plus it has 2 gland at the back of its head and they are huge! so if it poisonous its fully loaded!!!! any help would be greatly received!!!

Cheers

Could be Philothamnus, African Bush Snake, they have black mouths! Not a Gonyosoma with a black mouth.

Cheers

It could be a bush snake like Mwoxy said.
I know a shipment with loads of WC arrived in the UK a few weeks ago.

Does it look like this?
