if he looks alert and is moving about ok i wouldnt worry just yet

because there so small its not that easy to monitor exactly what they eat . .

im guessing its a crestie ? try using a smaller dish so if any food is eaten you can maybe see the food level moving ..

I'm sure he is eating if he is active. Cresteds are nocturnal which means they are most active at night, this includes feeding. What size food container are you using for the fruit/babyfood/Crested Gecko Diet? I use plastic milk bottle tops for all my rhacs (adults and babies alike). For a young Cresteds (ie. hatchling to a couple of months old) I put a pea sized blob in the middle of the bottle top. You can tell if they are eating as you should be able to see little lick marks in the remaining food. Also how often are you changing the food? I find they seem to prefer it when it is a day or so old (when a skin has formed on the top). I leave food in with all my Rhacs for two days. In the wild they would eat over ripened fruits which would have fallen from the trees.

last night i mixed up

half a banana a
half tea spoon of CGD
a little dribble of baby food to mix

and hand fed all my cresties adults and babies .

every one of them had some , ate more than i had ever seen them eat
had all three females eating of the same spoon .

if you have any doubts you could always put a spoon to there mouth and see if they lick any up .

also got to remember that they are so small that they dont need a large amount

I've only had my 2 cresties for a week and I have been wondering the same thing! It is reassuring to know that they just don't eat very much. The CGD seems to hardly be touched. I have given them crickets though and it is very funny to watch them stalk them, I was surprised by how violently they pounce and bite!
If I am giving them crickets should I dust them with some kind of supplement if they are not eating much of the CGD? I have Nutrobal which we dust the crickets for our BTS with, should I use this?

Use a good calcium powder (pure calcium carbonate or Calypso) for every two out of three cricket feeds. The third feed use Nutrobal.
