Here some picture's of the Vipera berus that I found during field research for RAVON foundation in the Netherlands. (Ravon stands for Reptile Amphibian Fish Research The Netherlands but then in Dutch Wink )

Thanks, that is also my favorite.
It is difficult to post picture's of a field research because all animals need to be caught for data. So you can see gloves on a lot of picture's.
And of course I don't want to give people the idea that you can just pick them up (venomous). In The Netherlands it is an protected and endangered species. There are still people that kill these snakes for their skin or because there afraid of them.
