This is an email I just sent the person in question. Please read it all!
At last, after 2 weeks of constant phone calls and text messages, I have just received the snakes you sent me, which are over a week later than when you first told me they would be delivered. They arrived in a poor condition, 4 out of the 6 snakes didn't reach the 1200g - 1500g mark that was advertised, 1 didn't even reach 1000g. One of the others still had shed on it's back and there was no shed in the bag so it had been packed like it. They were very cold and very skinny. All of the snakes had protruding backbones and the skin was very loose, this indicates that they are underweight and not well treated. Some of the snakes had scars on them. The boxes they were sent in had no indication that they were livestock, my address number was wrong and the road had been spelt wrong with only half my postcode on it and it lacked my surname. I have video evidence of how the snakes were delivered, the driver was also witness to the poor condition. I am completely disgusted with the quality of the snakes, the way they were delivered and finally the service I received from you. I'm shocked and appalled that someone who has a business in dealing with snakes could treat them with such disinterest. Please note, I will be in contact with the RSPCA, all website forums I'm a member of and will be notifying Paypal as the snakes were not delivered as described.
P.S. I have also notified TNT that you had been sending snakes out on overnight delivery without marking the boxes or notifying them that livestock were being sent. They are now advising their accounts department of this.
I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL - Chris.
Please pm me for names and websites so you can avoid them and I don't get told off for putting names on websites. _________________ I'm a qualified locksmith too. If you need any help, email or phone. |

Good heavens. If you want, I can pop it up on Fish-Keeper's herping section where I work too. Interested in finding out who it is as well, but I shall maintain the no-names policy on site.
Let me know, and I'll fix it straight away. _________________

I've had to resort to force feeding the poor snakes, but thankfully I've managed to force 5 out of the 6 snakes successfully. It's not the nicest thing in the world, but it's working! _________________ I'm a qualified locksmith too. If you need any help, email or phone. |

Chris
Sorry to hear about your bad experience - they sound a rubbish outfit. Have they replied yet? I hope the RSPCA threat was just for effect - think twice before getting them involved.

The retailer that sold you the snakes should be shut down, but I do agree that involving the RSPCA may not be the best way to go about it. I will be sending you a PM to get their name and will NOT be buying from them.... Spreading the word through the Forums should hopefully do the trick, with mabe a reminder to people in a few months time not to use this awful outfit.
I wish you all the very best with the poor snakes, TOTALLY disgraceful conduct on the part of the seller. |
